Question OHSAS 18001 Adoption Statistics - Does anyone have any info or statistics?

Does anyone have any info or statistics on the number of companies that have developed an OHSAS 18001 conforming system for managing their Occupational Health and Safety issues? A breakdown for N. America/Europe/Asia would also be useful, if someone also has that info.

Thanks

Default OHSAS Adoption Statistics

I found a source on the web that estimated approximately 2000 companies worldwide have adopted some type of OH&S management system that conforms to OHSAS 18001.

Default

The 2,000 number is probably a wild guess. Nobody knows for sure. Since certification to OHSAS 18001 is a non-accredited activity, the certification bodies offering certification to OHSAS are not even required to keep a register/directory of such certificates.

Me too would like to know the number and breakdown.
Good luck!
