Graphing a defect chart in Excel .xls using attribute data
I am trying to graphing a defect chart in Excel using attribute data. Any hints ?? for some reason I cant seem to find something suitable that would work. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to chart no. of defects or no. of defects by type? You can enter the data in excel and use the chart wizard. Give us more details about what you want to do. Post your spread sheet.
If you are trying to make a Pareto chart (counting up the defects by attribute and then sorting from high to low), here are some files on how to do that.

Al, I am trying to chart both the number of defects and the number of defects by type. Its all attribute data. For example, I want to create a chart that gives a daily break down of all the defects we had for each type of defect and report that on a weekly or even montly basis etc.
