I Say... Results of the March ASQ CQM/OE test

I've been sweating the results of the March ASQ CQM/OE test for the last couple of weeks, as well as trying to close out some nonconformances from our January TS surveillance audit from LRQA. We successfully closed the nonconformances yesterday. Today I got the email from LRQA that I passed!

I've got to really complement the Pittsburgh section of ASQ on the preparation class they put on. I'm confident that it made a big difference - not so much in the open book section of the test, but in the essay area. Now on to the CQE in June (or is that back to the CQE in June? ) I already have the CQA, so if I can get through the CQE should have a nice set of certifications.

Congrats Kevin on your audit results and good luck on the O/E results.

I'm planning on taking the Philly ASQ section CQE course for testing in December. I took the CQE last year while studying on my own without a refresher course and I missed the cut score of 550 with a 510. I think with the help of the course I am confident it will help me to fill in the gaps that I missed the last time I tested.

I thought that ASQ didn't report scores, just pass-fail. Is this something new?

I took the CQE last March at an ASQ conference. I believe their were only about 5-6 CQE testers, the rest were made up of CSSBB's, CQM's, CQA's, etc...

When I received my score it broke it down as follows.

This is directly from the ASQ Exam Results (Quasi Pareto) of my exam

BOK AREA---Tot. Ques--# I had correct---#CQE takers that passed had right
I.--- 19---13---16
II.--- 19---13---15
III.--- 33---20---23
IV.--- 11---10---8
V.--- 25---15---21
VI.--- 53---31---40

The results were a comparison to the # of correct responses I had in relation the the BOK and the average number of questions the CQE test takers and the number they had correct that were present "And Passed".

Unfortunately I did not pass. I got 510 out of 550. This was what the form had stated.

Jim if this is new, I'm certainly glad they outlined my weaker areas for me.

As I recall it from last time I tested, ASQ reports scores only if the tester does not certify.

Of course, I now remember someone else saying the same in a previous post of another thread. Why else would ASQ provide a breakdown of results if a tester passes the exam?

Some people may be confusing this with the RAB Lead Auditor Exam - scores not not reported on those - pass/fail only. You could not get your scores if you tried....not sure why...
