I don't have to worry about using logos even though we have the registrar's procedure. We don't use any logos on anything. The only this we have posted is the TS16949:2002 certificate framed on the lobby wall, and we fly the TS1649:202 flag on the same pole as our ISO14001:2004 flag.

Al et al...ISO Guide 62, section 3.7 talks about use of the certificates and logos. CB's are required to have processes in place to monitor how and where the certified organization use the certification marks. ANAB procedure, paragraph 2.3 stipulates (in part)

Sidney - That makes sense. But can Larry's CB require they have a procedure to cover how the logos are used. I know our auditors always wanted to know how we were using them, but never required a written procedure.

Can they? YES. Obviously, that should be part of the "signed contract", as others mentioned.
Should they? No, imo.

Perry Johnson dinked me on having no procedure for proper use and protection of Registration and Accreditation Marks. Has anyone written one?

Larry
Internal Auditor

Larry,

You do not have to write one, just control the one you were given that came with your certificate. It is the PJR PRO-3, and just in case you have it... it has been revised within the last 2 weeks. Log on to the customer area of the website and download the current version.

This is part of your agreement with them specifically as a Registrar/Client relationship.

Hope this helps.

I don't think the auditor can write up a NC against his requirements, only against the standard or your procedures.

Yes, they can!!!!! and do!!!!!

Oh, and if I was the auditor that wrote that NCR, please disregard my instructions on how to get a current copy. I certainly cannot consult on behalf of any auditee... However, if another auditor wrote the NCR, you may follow the advice given in the previous post.

If you call PRJ, ask them for the PJR PRO-3 document. It is avaliable to clients on their website as well. Your auditor can provide it for you, but so can your audit coordinator from the PJR headquarters.
