Please Help! Have "Software Qualification Engineer" title existing in Automotive field?

Hi,

I'm not sure have "Software Qualification Engineer" Title existing in Automotive field? the background is how do we make sure our software program is suitable for the products, which to be avoid any agruement between the hardware engineer and software engineer when the performance not so good or smooth in evaluation/verification stage. therfore, maybe we need a software qualification engineer to verifiy the software program is suitable and meet the specification requirement.

Have any expert/mentor can give me any sugggestion ?

Nicco

You do need someone to perform the software verification. For that, we use a Software Quality Engineer. Their job is to create test cases for all of the requirements and then to perform those tests. We have a review of any defects/issues each day. Some defects are accepted and prioritized while others might be rejected. Any discrepencies between the person testing the code versus the person who wrote the code, is worked out at this daily defect review. The results of the review are kept with the defect record, which is assigned to an owner for fixing.
