Question ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) vs. QTP (Qualification Test Procedure)

I am Project manager working in Europe for some US component suppliers to
Aerospace manufacturer.

I have 2 suppliers who are asking me to coordinate with the manufacturer.

Ones supplier uses the term ATP all the time for Acceptance Test Procedure
and the other uses QTP meaing qualification Test Programme but there appears to be little difference between the two terms.

Are there specific differences between the two terms ATP and QTP ?

Qualification Test is usually quite different from Acceptance Test. The QualificationTest is more comprehensive than the ATP and is performed once to qualify the design. The QTP is defined in the contract and for example includes environmental testing like humidity, vibration and shock. The ATP is a production test performed on each item to show it meets the performance specification.
