Question ELV and IMDS Questions - Reporting Services and Importance to Suppliers

1. Are the recovery/recycling/energy recovery/landfill targets important to tier suppliers ? I was told the numbers 85%/80%/5%/15% regulate only vehicle makers, and the responsibility of a tier supplier is to disclose all substance information if at all possible, and to reduce the use of hazadous substances in the supplied products. If this is true, then how OEMs can ensure they are ELV-compliant ( without tier suppliers' efforts in achieving higher recycling rate ) ?

2. I am looking for IMDS reporting service company, except Tetra Tech, Rapid Global Business Solutions and TUV, any one has any other recommendation ?

Hello Tomccchang,

A department of our group ( Autsource = Automotive outsourcing ) is also interested in reporting in IMDS as a service to other companies.

You can e-mail me ( see my profile ) to discuss further details.

Best regards,

Antoine

Antoine,

Thanks. We resolved the problem and do the reporting our own. Will contact you if we want to change the plan.
