When will the new ISO 9001:2008 version be issued?
Hi every one
does any one knows when the new ISO 9001 version will be issued
and what are the differences between it and ISO 9001 / 2000

With over 29,000 registered users out of which more than 5,300 are active ones, we are not short of inquisitiveness and topics of discussion (infact it's hard to think of one topic that had not been discussed before).
This question had been asked many times before. Go to the ISO 9001 QMS section and it is listed as the first item.

I had a gentleman on my LA course last week who is on the ISO 9000 committee and he thinks that the first draft will be out inside 1 month. However, he was not sure whether it would be circulated generally as was the case with the 2000 revision, though he suspected it would.

He doesn't know what he is talking about. We have had at least two drafts of ISO 9001:2009: WD1 and WD2. The upcoming draft is CD1.
