I assume you are referring to the International Material Data System.

What, exactly, is your job description? That is, what role do you play in IMDS? Do you originate them for your company? Do you get them from suppliers for your company?

More information of what your specific experience consists of will help us answer your question.

Hello Marc & Guruprasad,
I might be able to help: with 3 'active' years in IMDS you gained the abilities to be an IMDS Coordinator (requires proof off course).

On October 10th this year the chairman of the OEMs' IMDS group will announce to the automotive industry at AIAG the attached "IMDS Efficiency" document.
This document was described by the OEMs in those words (recitation):
"The document was presented to and discussed with the IMDS Steering Committee. The IMDS Steering Committee recognised this as a great support for all companies, which would like to improve and optimize their internal and audit their suppliers processes related to material reporting and with that to reduce costs. The document will be published on the website (public pages) as a guideline to show possibilies to make reporting process more effective."

Further, on 9th October in Brussels will be an automotive supplier summit at the CLEPA, which combines ELV and IMDS and REACH.

There is definitely a future with IMDS and EHS related subjects.
