Question Ideas on GMP & GDP Awareness Training for Non-production & QC folks

Hi all,

I need some inspiration and I am hoping that I am in the right place!

I need to undertake some training with office staff with regards to GMP & GDP - has anyone undertaken such training? What did you cover/include?

I want to tailor it & make it more applicable to them - I think that it is going to be more of an awareness session. Any ideas folks?

Thanks

Welcome to the Cove

Things are a little slow here on the weekends, so you might have to wait until Monday before anyone with experience responds. In the meantime, you might want to do a search for previous discussions on the subject, such as these.

Welcome Darrock

As a start, it helps if you could clarify what industry you are in and what does GDP mean - good /distribution /documentation /dental practices or?

Regards.

Re: GMP & GDP Training for Non-production & QC folks

I will take a stab that:

GMP-Good Manufacturing Practices

GDP-Good Documentation Practices-Could not quickly find a link, but I'm sure the FDA website has information.

These two are fairly vast topics. Was there something in particular you were interested in?

Welcome to the Cove.

I often give training on GMP, Good Doc Practices etc on a frequency of once in 3 months.

Can I check with you if you are looking for training topics relating to medical devices ?

Re: Ideas on GMP & GDP Awareness Training for Non-production & QC folks

I used to do GMP training every 6 months for pharma and device packager. Both plant and office people.

I didn't actually differentiate between office/plant personnel because everyone had to understand all the basics and plant people often crossed through production.

I had a video I purchased that was actually pretty interesting so I used that in addition to my scintillating personality and sense of humor while disussing some points using my collection of observations... like observing the plant manager spitting chaw spit in the garbage cans on the production floor, or the time a customer sent back an employee ID badge that fell into a box and the employee tried to deny it.

I always gave a quiz and then went through the answers with everyone at the end. This served two purposes - evidence they understood the training and for some laughs as I threw a couple of silly questions on there.

Hey all

Thanks for your replies all! Scott - Just wondering if you could let me know what the video was called? I am currently looking for some videos - can anyone recommend any that they have used?

Cheers!
