Question Any News about the FAA 14CFR Part 121 / 145 Requiring Accredited Calibration?

I am inquiring if there is any news about the FAA 14CFR Part 121 or 14CFR Part 145 requiring accredited calibrations from calibration vendors / subcontractors? Reference is page 129-130 of The Metrology Handbook.

Is there any discussions about this at the FAA yet?

Isn't it just a matter of time before this eventually happens?

Someone else who is better connected should have an answer for you.....all I can say is if you seek accreditation, talk to ALL the U.S. based ABs before selecting one.

Our local airworthiness authority has already implemented this requirement 2 years ago...

When will the airlines calibration programs be required to comply with ISO 17025 requirements?
