Please Help! Useage Display over Time - Computer systems (log-in, log-out and time used on each)

Hello,

This is my first post and it is going to be something basic (I hope I haven't missed an faq somwhere).

I have collected use data on computer systems (log-in, log-out and time used on each machine) and would like to construct a visual showing use over time. In some cases, it would be X number of computers in use hour by hour. Another example might be a visual of how each individual computer was used over time.

Can anyone suggest some good methods to determine computer use loads over time?

Thanks in advance.

Hello there! and welcome!

Well, I might suggest some simple methods. Pie charts are fairly easy to construct. You might could use this for showing the different uses of the computer. Also, a bar chart might be good. Hopefully you are fairly familiar with Excel's graphing function. You might want to put the data in Excel, and then play with the different charting functions.

I guess it would depend on what you are trying to present, and to whom it will be presented.
