Writing a QMS (Quality Management System) Manual from Scratch

I have never written a Quality manual before and would appreciate any guidence, books, or references that will help me to create one for AS9100B. I am a new Quality Manager having all my previous experience in Quality Control as an Inspector. I could easily copy and reword other manuals, but this is not my intent. My intent is to be proficient and knowledgeable.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd suggest starting with a search. There are many examples (posted here) of manuals for you to research and pick the best as a model.
