Please Help! Gap Analysis - Student Project - Case Study Help!

Hi All,

I'm currently completing a gap analysis project. However, I'd like to know if anyone has any good case examples which they can share?

In addition, part of the gap analysis assignment I'm also required to present on the data and was hoping if anyone had any good powerpoint formats to use?

Thanks in advance,
Simmms

Hi, welcome to The Cove!

Can you tell me what your major is, what industry you are interested in, and what you have done so far to try to find examples on the web?

Have you tried the Search function on the blue tool bar above?

Hi Marc,

I've tried the search functionality, however, I could not really get the details which I was seeking...

The subject area of this analysis is between software based applications. Making an assessment between two common application and which functionality/requirement can be migrated to the larger application to consolidate the number of applications...

Is this something which you can help with? Alos, looking at how to best present the data too...

Thanks,
Nitul

Gap analysis is as basic as it gets.

What is supposed to happen? Is it happening?

What is supposed to be present? Is it present?

Where "it" doesn't happen,or where "it" isn't present you have a Gap. Fix it!

Gap analysis can't be presented any plainer or simpler than that.

Hi there, appreciate the feedback...

I understand the concepts and principles of Gap Analysis. I wanted some examples of how best to present this in a report or powerpoint format...

I have gaps equaling to 400 individual items currently and presenting this to make it meaning ful is becoming difficult...

Some examples would be great

Thanks,
Nitul

How about a three column presentation with column 1 - Ideal or required state, column 2 - current state and column 3 - the gap.
