Please Help! Uncertainty Budget - Gage Blocks

Does anyone have a sample gage block uncertainty budget sheet that you would be willing to share?

The sheet itself is good, but it is for calibration of a 0-1" (25mm) micrometer, using Grade 2 gage blocks.....do you need to develop the budget for gage blocks themselves, or for the items you may use them to calibrate?

I am looking for an example of an uncertainty budget for gage blocks themselves. I need to identify the uncertainty components and the distribution method for each.

The micrometer sheet is great, too. I am expanding our lab to include dimensional calibrations and any example of pins, plugs, indicators, gage blocks, mics, calipers, etc. would be extremely helpful.

Table 1 is a good example of a budget for gage block. In fact the entire publication has some good examples in it in regard to uncertainty calculations.

Hi,

1. Download QMSYS Uncertainity Workshop - is free for 14 days.

2. Use example "EA4-S4-Calibration of a gauge block of nominal length 50 mm.gmf" for GUM-Method or

3. Use example "EA4-S4-MC-Calibration of a gauge block of nominal length 50 mm.gmf" for Monte-Carlo Method (recommended).
