International Automotive Oversight Bureau (IAOB)
The International Automotive Oversight Bureau - www.IAOB.org of course - has been formed as a corporation by DaimlerChrysler, Ford, GM and the AIAG. The corporation was established to 'manage' the ISO/TS 16949 registration for the IATF. IATF members include BMW, Fiat, PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Renault SA, Volkswagon, the AIAG (US), ANFIA (Italy), FIEV (France), SMMT (England), and VDA (Germany) - as well as the big3.
NOTE: The IAFT says they plan to align ISO/TS 16949 with ISO9001:2000 eventually.
