As Andy has stated, it is very difficult for someone who has not seen your service department to help you to prepare a checklist.
As basics go, why not take the procedure(s) for the department and start asking for evidence that the procedure accurately reflects what they do and that this is what you as a business want to be doing - is it helping you to satisfy customer requirements.
You could ask what their objectives are and whether these are being met - and if not, why not? You could check that the inputs to the service department are appropriate and that the outputs from the service department are suitable as inputs for the next department/process in the line.
I could go on but ... by the way, have you been trained as an auditor? If not, you really ought to consider attending a course. If you have been trained, look up your course folder and remind yourself of the techniques your tutor showed you - they work!
