The ASQ website has a Forum open to all (members and nonmembers) where questions like yours are routinely discussed.
Certification Discussion
The board is available to both ASQ members and the public to share information related to ASQ certification programs and processes. Moderator: Govindarajan Ramu
It is kind of late in the game to ask, but . .
If you haven't taken any ASQ certification exams before, the almost unanimous opinion of folks who take such exams is that the key is pacing yourself to answer the questions in the alloted time. One of the major factors in that pacing is being able to rapidly find answers in the reference material you are allowed to bring into the exam. Many folks find that taking one or two practice exams under a time constraint and similar conditions helps fine tune that search function.
My own tip: Get plenty of rest the night before. Consider getting a motel room close to the test site rather than commuting a long distance the morning of the exam - the commuting stress can be a real deal killer!
Managing "bio breaks" can be a big time waster for some. Stay hydrated, but don't eat any strange food which may upset your digestive system!
If you don't know the material by now, it may be too late to cram.

Best of luck!
Read each question entirely
Read all of the answers before answering the question
Determine the best answer (two will probably be similar) and make selection
Skip over difficult questions (save until last)
Make sure you answer all of the questions, even if you have to guess
I have found that in taking the the ASQ battery of tests that having sound basic fundamentals of Quality and in this case Auditing is a must. Auditing is not a difficult process, but like all things it requires the application of knowledge at the point of the sword. If you have prepared adequately, I suspect you will find the test fairly simple and straightforward. That has been my experience with each of the exams I have taken. Now trust me, as I walk out of the test environment, my confidence has been shaken from time to time, but to date I have had success.
Wes has given you very good point in how to approach the test as well.
Have a great exam!

Re: ASQ - CQA exam next week !!
Just concentrate on areas which you are most familiar. Spend some time on answering the questions. They are designed to confuse. So take your time and then answer.
Relax and just read the primer.

As Wes has stated, there is a good discussion going on in the ASQ Discussion forum at this time. Check the ASQ website and you will see a lot of comments regarding the preparation and tips. (Even some of mine ).

Re: ASQ - CQA exam next week !!
I would like to thank all of you who answered my question. At the same time, I think I may have not phrased my question right...I was rather looking for exam day tips(which I got from most of you..thanks again !)..and not preparation tips..
I have studies the QCI primer thoroughly, also ASQ's material and taken more than 5 full exams along with 10000 question CD from QCI. Also, I have taken CQE exam and passed at 1st try, so have little bit of comfort level at time management as well...I also am aware of ASQ's forum as well but since this forum has helped me in past as well, I thought to get your suggestions as well..
Thanks to all again !

Re: ASQ - CQA exam next week !!
I am taking it too, and have barely cracked my book. I wonder if I should feel worried... I have taken several of these exams by now, not failed any, and actually found the CQA to be pretty easy when using a good book with a detailed index. Hmmmm...
I've been pretty busy lately, working on my Masters and doing household projects in my off time.
