Doubt about the element 15.3 (VDA) - Periodic cross-check and repeated inspections

I have a doubt about the paragraph:

"In order to fulfill the obligation to show due care and attention, periodic cross-check and repeated inspections and test must be performed".

I do not understand the requirement for this paragraph. Could you help me?

Unfortunately, I haven't worked with the VDA document in over a year and do not even have a recent copy - so I can't help.

For these incoming materials, you must show that you (the receiver of the incoming products) periodically check the supplier's product for important characteristics. This shows that you are not just taking their "word for it". Set up a periodic inspection plan based on what you think would allow a good cross-check and document it.
