Restructuring and Additional Responsibilities - Need New Quality Title
My current title is Ast. Mgr. of Quality. Within the past couple of weeks we've had a fair size lay off and departmental shifts, which means the survivors take on additional responsibilities.
I will now incorporate TS, mfg. forms, and NCMR database into my role. We have an associate that also has an Ast. Mrg. Quality title. Needless to say we're alittle messed up.
My question is: can anyone give me suggestions on new titles to reflect my new roles and current role (PPAPs, CARs, TS, mfg. forms, NCMRs, QA customer reports)?

Wow, that many hats.......enough for one a day! How about (Assistant) Quality Systems Manager - since most of what you described are 'management systems' related activities.......

Re: Need New Quality Title
Off topic slightly:
CQO (Chief Quality Officer) (with all your hats, maybe appropriate)

Would a new title help to clear this? Something more important need to be looked into.

I agree with Andy. This one might be more appropriate for the additional duties that have been added to your current job.

Re: Restructuring and Additional Responsibilities - Need New Quality Title
I definitely agree that more than titles need to be re-evaluated, however, I have no control over that (it is Japanese automotive). I just try to make the best of a bad situation.

Re: Restructuring and Additional Responsibilities - Need New Quality Title
I would suggest the following potential titles:
1. Senior Quality Engineer (As Boscoeee suggested)
2. (Assistant) Quality Systems Manager (As AndyN suggested)
3. Quality Representative
4. Quality Systems Monitor
