Uncertainty budget for industrial temperature controllers
i'm starting to get into MU for 17025 accreditation.
it would be most helpful if someone could offer an example of a budget for an industrial temperature controller that my company manufactures
- any practical guidance of calculating MU would also be accepted
i've read through some of the links on this site but they deal with -mostly- gage blocks and the like. it would be great if anyone had some helpful 'how to' instruction of getting going.
i'm sure that i've left out some pertinant data or have some poor terminology, so forgive my ineptness. I have literally just begun on this subject.
thanks so much in advance,
GD

Re: uncertainty budget for industrial temperature controllers
You present a good and nearly universal challenge.....thank you for the question.....and if that seems unusual, let me explain.....
Temperature often affects some measurement or another.....sometimes a whole bunch, sometimes almost not at all, most times somewhere in between.....almost always, not adequaetly defind and documented.....
That does not necessarily mean intricate detail at 1x10^-6 level, and based on what you posted then certainly not at that level.....
Hence, a more pragmatic appraoch is warranted.....
There are several uncertainty courses that are available, and that are good.....
I will be happy to provide reference to 2 or 3 such courses, just send a private message.....and before any ask, yes, I do provide the appropriate information to avoid ANY conflict.....
I would certainly NOT characterize your inquiry as "ineptness"; rather as a question that will assist some area of industry to service its customers.....
If I can help further, please let me know.....
