what am i doing wrong?
Hello Marc,
On numerous occasions I have tried to change the "Show topics from the last xx days". I go to preferences and change it to what I want, click on the "save preferences" button, but the system always reverts back to "60" days. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
CarolX

Probably a 'cookie' thing. This is the first I have heard of this problem. If anyone else rading this has the same problem, let me know. In the mean time I'll take a looksie tonight and see if I can reproduce it.

I just tried with my Mac and with my PeeCee. Both changed right after I changed the 'preferences'. I tried changing them to "100 days" and then to "75 days" and then to "Last Year". Each time they changed.
Try this: In the 'preferences' you will see a sentence (on my browser it is in RED) which reads:
"Click here to delete all cookies set by this forum!"
BEFORE YOU DO THIS MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD IS!!! And remember --> They are cAsE SenSITivE
Go ahead and click where it says "Click here to delete all cookies set by this forum!"
Then try setting your preferences again.
NOTE THAT THE NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO START A NEW TOPIC or RESPOND TO A TOPIC you *WILL* be asked for your user name and password. From there on it should remember them (through your cookie) for a year.
If this doesn't work, let me know and we'll go from there.

Hello again Marc,
Still having the problem, but don't waste any time on it unless others have the sam issue.
Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I clear my temp & history files daily....cookies..about once a week, but I leave those in that I know I need for this site and others.
Thanks,
CarolX
