IMDS and Reach - What has changed?
I work in a Automotive Company Industry that supply parts to the main players of this sector.
Among other task I manage MDS for all products manufactured by our unit and until now that hasn't create me big problems or issues even if I've done a self teaching in this matter just reading customers and IMDS guidelines. Now I'm a little bit worried about Reach. I know that our firms has a Reach team but I'd like to know what are changement from the MDS side. As I've said before, IMDS it's only one part of my task and If with Reach start this workload change considerably I'll need to reorganize my task in a different way!
Thank's to all!

Re: IMDS and Reach - What has changed?
IMDS release 6.1 states that REACH SVHC's will be listed on the IMDS.

Re: IMDS and Reach - What has changed?
Yes, IMDS has now been updated.
Each substance now lists also if it is an SVCH. This in addition if the substance is restricted (declarable or prohibited).
The analysis function has updated as well. Now you can analyze your MDS for any SVHC substances.
We ran an analysis on Friday on our MDS for a complex automotive part (with 99% of the MDS submitted by suppliers) and found two substance (plasticizers) that are on the SVHC list.
It is a great extension of IMDS.
An example is attached.
