Question What is 5M? Fishbone or Ishakawa diagram

Dear Mr

i hear about title related with quality

5Y and 5M

i know that the 5Y is the 5 why

but i didn't know what is the 5M ?

can any one help me to know what it is ? and how to use it ?

This typically refers to the fishbone or Ishakawa diagram that is grouped into 5 categories starting with M:
  • Man
  • Methods
  • Materials
  • Machines
  • several variants exist such as:
    • Measurement,
    • Maintenance,
    • Mother Nature (ambient environment)

I often use mindmaps as Ishikawa diagrams (Basically the same format except for keeping the headlines close to center instead of the other way around. Unfortunately I have not uploaded any clear examples with a 5M outline, but here is a link to a few other maps. I'll see if I have a better example somewhere.
