Honda PPAP requirements

Hello everyone,

I am just wondering if someone knows what are the ppap elements required by Honda?
I did a ppap very long time along for them, I think they were asking for 11 elements but I couldn't remember what those elements are.

I have done PPAP's for so many different companies it makes my head spin. They all have their own requirements, so I always call the SQE and ask. That way you can get it right the first time. Good Luck!

Thanks for your response. I actually don't have any contact with the SQE yet, I might have to do some ppap in a near future, so I would like to know what their requirements are?

If anyone can shear those ppap elements, that would be great.

Control Plan, FMEA, Warrant, Capability studies, Ballooned layout, Flowchart, Material certs, samples, ballooned print, GRR's, appearance approval. Thats a start!

If I remember, this is also something called Inspection standards? which gives a picture of the check fixture and items measured? is that correct?

I have never worked with Honda but if you have a checking fixture, that sounds right.

Hi..

PPAP Standards for Production Part Approval process. Its conatins FAI ( First article inspection report) which has to be provided by vendor/ supplier, which will be made for production tools 300 parts will be produced. among 300 parts 30 parts will be randomly selected & again 3 parts will be selcted among 30 parts, which will be made FAI. Also we have cp & CPK study ( process capability & process capability index) which is to estimate parts for rejection. Also PPAP contains GRR study which provides information about setups for measuring dimensions ( CMM stup, vernier, optial measuring m/c's etc). PPAP also contains material study ( Material used for this product) like %, composition, mechanical study etc. Additional reports like Colour matching, chemical analysis reports will be prodvided.
This report has to be approved by Responsbile design engineer before moving to production. Let me know any information required for this .

I also somewhat fammilier with PPAP ,but accordingly my exprience it differs from one customer to anather. so u have to ask them.because there index is also different. we are not honda supplier but i know it changes customer to customer.
some documents they wn't have appicable.
