Question Is anybody aware of a VDA 2 Revision which includes parts of the APQP process?

Hi Everybody,

In a recent conversation it was mentioned that VDA standard 2 was to be revised and that elements of a product APQP type approach were going to be introduced. Is anybody aware of this and also able to point me in the direction of more information.

Thanks

Spencer

Please Help! Re: VDA 2 Revision

Hi Howard,

Thanks for the response, I have seen the website you mentioned and have a current hard copy English version of VDA 2. My prime interest is if the standard is going to be revised and what those changes might be (even if they are still in the discussion stage).

My background is that I am putting a PPAP system in place and want to know if their are any new developments in this area, when I heard about the VDA 2 possible change my spider sense was alerted.

Hi Spencer,

if the VDA plans a new release they normally present a preview (yellow press) before and announce the upcoming plan, I just take a look on the VDA page and found nothing (I look in the German Version, it contains more information than the translated pages)

But the documentation of parts of the APQP is part of the VDA as well as from the PPAP?

Greeting from a very cold Germany

TamTom
