Default FAR Part 21/145 vs. EASA Part 21/145

Dear all,

I wonder if any of you can help me.

One of my clients is required to get both FAR and EASA Part 21 and 145 approval.

I have an excellent knowledge of the EASA Parts 21 and 145 and I have little knowledge on CFR 14 /145 repair stations, however, no knowledge at all on FAR Part 21 production organizations?

Can anybody of you help me?

What are the organizational requirements to FAR Part 21 production org.?
What are the main principals? Can these be compared to EASA Part 21?

Are there differences in the regulations between aircraft/engine/propeller manufacturers (TC-Holders) and component manufacturers?

Can you maybe give me references to the relevant FAR requirements?

A lot of questions, I know. I also know that the 9100-forum is not the perfect place to place this type of questions but I 've got the impression that many of you are well-experienced in this field, too.

Thanks a lot once again.

Angelika

I have found the "checklist" in 8100.7 (appendix 5) to be helpfull in understanding the PAH requirements that pertain to our operation.

Thanks a lot. Is there also any interpretative material available (e.g. AMC/GM/ACJ etc....)?

In the meantime I learnt that a German (European???)company cannot get an approval as a FAR Part 21 organisation.
I cannot really explain the regulatory background but that's the firm statement on behalf of the competent aviation authority.
