The 3rd Edition of the Rules for Achieving IATF Recognition was released in November 2008. The implementation by Certification Bodies of these rules is required by January 1, 2009. The revised requirements found in the 3rd Edition Rules will affect both DNV and our customers by changing the way audits are planned and performed.
To help you, our customer, better understand these changes and why DNV is changing its policies regarding certain activities, we feel it is important to provide our customers guidance on the impact of the changes, prior to implementation.
