Quality Professional Needs Work
Hello everyone!
I am currently seeking employment in a Quality related field in the NE Ohio area. I am located in Medina which is close to Akron and Cleveland metro areas.
I have been in the Quality field for over 14 years and have my CMI through ASQ.
I have worked mostly in the Aerospace industry but also have experience in the medical, nuclear, oilfield and other misc. industries.
I have worked as an inspector, metrologist, Quality Manager, Quality Engineer and Sales Engineer.
Please let me know if you have any interest and would like to review my resume.
Regards,
ISOSandy

I feel your pain Sandy. With the ship delays at Boeing it doesn't look like much will happen in the industry for another month or so. Our aerospace plant in Avon has had to lay off almost all our quality and engineering people. The obvious drawback to that is they probably won't be available when things pick up.
Hopefully you are able to skim by for a while so you can offer your experience when they are looking to replace their lost technical group.
I suggest you keep looking and continue to use this thread as a mini "support group". I know I will post when things get better and I am sure others will as well. Who knows what support there is but If I hear of anything, I'll let you know.
Dave

Thank you Dave! I appreciate it very much!
It does suck! I am just angry because the company I worked for also layed off my husband, a machinist, on the same day the week before Christmas and we were the only two. It was personal, but what can you do! Some companies are stuck in the dark ages and hate input and suggestions
I am trying a couple of leads in medical manufacturing, that industry seems to not get hit quite as hard as the others. I am hopeful!
Just have to keep plugging away until something turns up
Sometimes I wish I stayed in Arizona... this Ohio economy is killing me LOL
Thanks for the support and I wish everyone a great 2009!!
Regards,
Sandy

Re: Quality Professional Needs Work
Sandy,
Have you checked out the Job openings posted in the Cove? There is one that maybe of interest, and maybe also looking for a Machinist.
But you will need to discuss the possibility of relocating for a position. Are you and your family willing to relocate if necessary?
Here is one that has been recently posted, but the position is located in Florida: Quality Manager position

Thanks Coury, but we aren't looking to relocate at the moment.
Hopefully positions will start to open up within the next few months!
