Please Help! Supplier commitment acceptance of orders verified and managed - Meaning

Can someone please explain me the meaning of this sentence in a questionnaire:

"Supplier commitment acceptance of orders verified and managed"

I'm a translator for quality function and I'm quite lost in translating this term. Does it have something to do with managing supplier's obligations to accept orders? or there's a comma missing...

Thanks in advance))

Re: Supplier commitment acceptance

They could just be asking how you do your contract review.

Unfortunately, the English language has endless opportunities for taking simple, everyday words and combining them in a such way that they end up making no sense whatsoever.

I'm sure you know that Google translates the sentence as:
"Поставщик приверженность принятию заказов проверены и управляется"
and I have every confidence you find that as incomprehensible as I do.

I suggest you either go back to the source of the questionaire and ask for clarification or invent an equally meaningless response and hope they're stupid enough to accept it.

Re: Supplier commitment acceptance of orders verified and managed - Meaning

You do a contract review. If you agree to the terms of the contract proposal, you have to follow through with an acceptance action, what ever it may be. In rare instances it's a verbal acceptance, but generally acceptance is documented for legal and other reasons.

My opinion is that they are simply saying you have a contract acceptance system (which typically is within the contract review procedure/system at or near the end).

Thanks

Marc, you mean the acceptance of the order by a supplier, and being accepted this order forms an obligation (commitment) on a supplier?

I would definitely need to check with an author))

I read this to mean:
Supplier commitment: acceptance of orders, (are they ) verified and managed
As said before it should be part of the contract review process. It has basically to phases: prior to commiting a bid/price proposal and after receing the order. The last is what the question refers to : do you have an order acknolewgment step (in which you erify that the order clauses do not differ from what you have comiited to in your proposal and or subsequent negotiations.
