Question Business Plan and Management Reviews

I have a question regarding what topics should be reviewed during our management review process and what types of goals should be included in our business plan.

History: Our company provides Sales and Design services for our customers. All other functions including manufacturing are subcontracted out to our sister company. I believe that our business plan as it is now does not include any quality related goals, just financial information.

What types of items should be reviewed during the management review meeting? The following are the items that I've come up with:

1. Internal Audit results
2. Training effectiveness
3. Projected sales vs. actual sales
4. Required prototype delivery dates vs. actual delivery dates (I'm not sure if this should be included)

Should we be reviewing PPMs, customer satisfactions, on time delivery etc. even though this is performed by our sister company? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

(Quality system/ function related goals HAVE direct impact on financial information.)

Reduced lead times, scrap reduction, increased productivity, all can play a part. Trends in nonconformance issues as well. improvements in processes - set-up effeciency- cycle times all can be considered.

9000:2000 standards are fairly direct on these management shall review input items:

5.6.2
Results of audits (internal or external IMHO)
customer feedback
Process performance/ produc conformity
Status of BOTH Preventative and Corrective actions
Follow-up actions from prior management reviewes
Changes affecting the Quality Management system
Reccomendations for improvements

Should you be tracking PPMs for items "even tho they are performed by your sister company? I would think that if these items are affecting your financial goals then they too should be considered a quality function goal

Hope this helps
Regards!
Jim

Mgt. Review must include discussion of all the 20 elements of Qs.
(or at least the ones that you are responsible for). I would also make sure that you include your sister company as a "customer" of sorts, and treat them as such (relative to QS).
