Question Certification Body Standard Agreement Term - 3 Years? Can I then change CBs?

Please let me know, is it mandatory for our (UKAS-accredited) certification body to offer 3 year term. Does this mean after surveillance audit 2, we can apply to be certified by another CB?
Is it a standard term (agreement valids for three years, and renewable)?

Thank you
Lim

Re: Certification Body Agreement

A three-year, renewable contract is standard because that's the length of the certification cycle. However, there is always the possibility of changing certification bodies at any point in the cycle. You may end up having to pay the CB extra if you don't continue with them the whole length of the contract though.
