Please Help! Requirements of certification bodies recognized by IATF for ISO/TS 16949:2002

Hello folks,

Does anyone know the requirements of the "new" IATF specification - Requirements for certification bodies recognized by IATF for ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification scheme.

Does someone have a table which define the number of days for third party audit depending on the number of employees?

Is there are any other significant changes in new IATF rules.

Re: ISO/TS 16949 Auto. Cert. Scheme-Rules

How about the rules for ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. Is it possible to postpone surveillance audit for one or more months. Is there any document which define the rules for achieving ISO standards.

Stijloor, thanks for the answer.

Re: ISO/TS 16949 Auto. Cert. Scheme-Rules

For ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 the Certification Body(CB) needs to work according to ISO 17021.

Quote:
9.3.2.2 Surveillance audits shall be conducted at least once a year. The date of the first surveillance audit following initial certification shall not be more than 12 months from the last day of the stage 2 audit.
Please talk to your CB

Stijloor, thanks for the answer.
The auditor day tables have not changed from TS Rules 2nd edition to the 3rd edition.

Howard has correctly referred you to ISO 17021 for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. You may also want to take a look at IAF Mandatory Document MD5:2009, a free document which specifies the duration of QMS and EMS audits.

Hi Aleš,

You can find the identical table in this document that was posted here before the final version of the Rules 2nd edition was published: Clean final draft Rules 2nd edition_05 May 2004-1.pdf
Thanks to howste for your informative Post and/or Attachment!
