I Say... Signatures - Registered Visitor 'Signatures' - What is and isn't allowed

23 October 2009

What are Registered Visitor Signatures?

After you have been registered for 30 days and have posted 10 posts, you may enter a 'Signature'. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of each of your posts, a little like a 'footer' on each of your posts.

You will have the option to include your signature on any posts you make. If you have entered a signature, then the forum will automatically append your signature to any messages you post. You can disable signatures on a per-post basis by un-ticking the 'Show Signature' check box when you compose your message.

You may turn the signature on and off on posts you have already made by editing the post and altering the state of the 'Show Signature' option.

You can put in a signature by editing your User Profile.

1. No Web Site Links allowed. You can put your web site in your User Profile.

Your web site will show up in your User Profile that the public can see:

2. Please - No religious or political content is allowed.

3. No email addresses. If you would like your email address to be available to the public you can enter it in your profile. The email address you register with will never be shown anywhere.

3. No company names. There is a place in your User Profile for your company's name.
