Let Me Help You Quality System 'Champion' - Where do I start?

I am asked to champion the Quality System dept though I am new in this field. Can someone advised where or how I should start. How do I get the support from various department?

There really aren't an TL folks who visit. But your question is addressed in many threads - particularly in the ISO 900x and QS90000 forums. Do a search using keywords 'management support'.
