Please Help! Clarification in UL Mark in Critical Component - IEC 60601 testing for CE mark in UL

hi all,
Team,please clarify my doubt.
we are a Medical device manufacturing company and doing IEC 60601 testing for CE mark in UL.we have a battery in our device which is listed in UL directory but there is no mark in the battery as well as in the datasheet. .Whether it means, the battery is not complying with UL requirements or whether we need to find a battery with UL mark ..please clarify

Re: Clarification in UL Mark in Critical Component - IEC 60601 testing for CE mark in

We need to clarify the original question here:

Is this:

- testing is for a UL mark (i.e. to UL 60601-1)?
- testing for Europe (MDD, CE) to IEC 60601-1 by UL?

There are certainly big overlaps for the above scope, but in the case of a battery there would be different requirements.

Also, what type of battery? Lithium batteries are of course big in the news and safety.

Finally, is it a battery back? You may find that the cells are UL recognised but the pack (3-4 cells) is not. There are different safety issues in a pack configuration.
