Usable Torque Range - Using a torque driver at more than 80% of its range
Many years ago, when I was working in defense contracting, I was audited and was written up for using a torque driver at more than 80% of its range. I argued and was shown a document that clearly showed that was unacceptable.
Currently, I am working for an organization that is using torque drivers to almost the maximum limit of the range. Can someone direct me to a official document that I can use to get the organization to spring (pun intended) for some new torque tools that we use in the middle of the range?
