Please Help! Supplier Selection - Assembly Activities Assessment

So I am more than happy in determining supplier capability in piece part manufacture (i.e. machining, PCBs)

But how do you assess assembly skills/capability?

Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Supplier Selection - Assembly Activities

I am not sure there is a difference, you may be looking for things such as turn round time, accuracy of assembly, lack of damage, or whatever is important to you. Presumably you have a requirement or specification that you ask suppliers to work to, so measure them against their ability to achieve that.
