In the Ford Quality and Reliability Guidelines there is a sentance which goes something like this:
"Suppliers will implement a process such as the Ford Campaign Prevention Method to ensure no need for campaigns, recalls or near-misses."
i.e. sounds like preventive action to me
I haven't hear of the Ford Campaign Prevention Method - I'm surprised (well, maybe not) that no one else here has either.

I searched the FSN for campaign prevention. The only place I found the two words tied together is in a process called "Supplier Recall Lessons Learned"
