What Is Your Company Size?
One of the important factors in interpreting many of the questions asked and answers is company size and complexity. We have to remember we're from many different types and sizes of companies when we read through threads and such.
I'm doing this poll out of curiosity. Note that you can vote without replying to the thread. Not that comments aren't welcome.

Location or All?
Need clarification please....
Do you want us to answer about our 'location' only or Company/Business Unit?
Currently our site has about 100 but well over 500 for all in our Buisiness unit.

I was originally thinking the company as a whole.

Then you'd be over 500! I was really mostly interested in how many folks here are from small to 'middle sized' companies.

Just to clarify my "vote". I chose the over 500, our individual division is 400 +/- and the corporation as a whole is several thou. Each division is pretty much autonomous and we rarely look at anything with a view to the "corporation". Up until the last year or so, we rarely shared anything within the corporation, but recently have implemented a drive to start benchmarking practices. This may not have anything to do with the poll but you know me, sometimes I get on a roll and can't keep my mouth (or fingers) quiet!

Marc,
The early results seem to show mostly 50-250. May need to break that one down a little. We are at about 85 people.

I'll have to let it stand for now. If we want to break it down further we can in another thread. Once people have 'voted', I don't know of any way to reset the poll. The software is set up so that once someone has voted, they can't vote again. It's not in the 'edit poll' functions - so - I'd have to hack the database - and everyone would have to re-vote and such.
I chose what I think are significant 'break points' in company size. Obviously this is a 'fun' poll and not meant to be scientific.
I did reset the options so that anyone posting a poll now can use up to 14 'options'. I recognized the 'need' as I did the poll - the previously set options of 6 maximum didn't allow much flexibility.
For now though, it's an interesting picture. A lot of consultants, I see.
