In my ASQ Sections, almost everyone is able to recertify without taking courses which cost money by a combination of job, volunteering, presentations, and article writing. Some of my fellow members have EVERY certification. When you have more than one certification, you need to be very meticulous in "synchronizing certifications."

Have you checked with your ASQ section people? There's usually one that deals with certification and recertification and would be able to give localized advice.
