Thank You! Laser Micrometer for checking Thickness of Steel - Any Recommendations or Comments

I have been asked to investigate the possibility of buying a laser micrometer for checking the thickness of steel. Does anyone have one and and are you happy with it? Any recommendations would be helpful. I have been on the internet looking, but would like to hear from someone who has one.
As always, thanks in advance!

I'm sorry we don't use laser micrometer but only mechanicals or Ultrasonic or others. (radioactive isotopes)
if could be useful this is any of ours vendors for measurements of products on the hot and cold rolling lines, Galvanizing lines, and pickling lines.

Re: Laser Micrometer for checking Thickness of Steel - Any Recommendations or Comment

We have had 2 laser mics here. We are not that impressed with them. We are in the process of replacing it with an ultrasonic thickness gauge.
