Please Help! Furnace Classes in relation to AMS 2750 to determine Calibration Interval

I have recently been looking at AMS 2750 in order to determine the appropriate calibration interval for my instruments. The specification has a number of tables that tell me what I need to know, but I am not understanding all of it. The intervals in AMS 2750 are a function of the furnace class (classes 1-6) and instrument type (types A-E). I have yet to find where each class of furnace and type of instrument is clearly defined. Does anyone know what the distinctions between these classes and types?

Re: Furnace classes in relation to AMS 2750

The furnace class is per figure a at the bottom of page 11
You just go by what ever is the tightest tollerance by all the specs you work to. IE if one spec is +/- 25 and you also work to another that is +/- 15 the class would be 3 since the +/- 15 is the tighter one and would cover the other.

The type is is determined by looking at what you have for your TC set ups on the equipment you have.

For a good pyrometry class I would recomend the PRI one. It even makes sense to a beginer and realy helps you understand
