The main tasks and responsibilities of the Sector Manager are:
Ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the Activity. This includes overall responsibility for EMS & OHSMS scheme certification activities.
Develop and maintain the systematics that govern the functioning of the scheme group.
Advise the Accreditation Responsible on the areas where the Accredited Management System Certification (AMSC) scheme could be developed to enhance DNV's position in the market place.
The promotion of DNV Certification to potential clients.· Ensure the independent nature of the AMSC scheme is not compromised at any time.
Manage any customer issues that may arise including the development of technical solutions.
Management of all employees within the sector (auditors and support personnel) including MIP process, etc.
Review and approval of audit reports and preparation/approval of all quotations.
Develop detailed certification strategies and quotes for large multi-discipline management system clients
Review of pertinent Management System documents that govern the functioning of the activity.
Management of the activity to assure compliance with established metrics.
Assure adequate resources are provided to perform work.
Plan and execute audits, report the results of audits and follow-up, as required, within agreed timescales and economic budgets
Other duties assigned by appropriate management.
Job Requirements :
Completion of secondary education, with preference for a bachelor’s degree and Lead Auditor credentials.
Experience should include a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the scheme or related fields coupled with strong communication and presentation skills.
Preference is for a candidate with a background in safety, quality and environmental certification
