Standards Management - How do we know if a new standard is issued or revised?
Greetings to the forum!
I'm looking for help with standards managment. The question keeps coming up, how do we know if a new standard is issued or a standard is revised that will impact product testing.
What method(s) work for you?
many thanks,
jen

There are services available, in most countries, who provide by subscription, updates on those industry standards you may be interested in. You provide them with a list (or look up/search on line) and you get to find out what's the latest and greatest, and they can supply you with the new one, often, too!

Re: Standards Management - How do we know if a new standard is issued or revised?
Hi Jen
If you don't want (or can't afford) to pay an outside company to do the constant monitoring, you will simply have to get someone within the company to keep a constant watch.
For full standards, it's not too much of a technical problem. Write out a list of all of the standards that you currently use and check the website of your particular national standards body. They will be very happy to advertise and sell you the latest version.
The website will probably also have a search facility to allow you to search by subject area, rather than by standard name/number. Use this method too.
None of the above will guarantee that you stay up to date, but it may be a more economic solution than paying someone else to do the same thing.

Do we have a website that can tell us or inform us about the latest versions of standards such as but not limited to ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc.

Publishers, authorized or contract publishers are the most up to date when it comes to such information. Most of them provide update services for a small fee because their ultimate aim is to sell you a copy of any up-dated publication.

Hello to All,
can someone answer question above?
This one is important for my company because latest ISO TS requalification audit brought to us one NCR for not being up to date regarding MSA edition.
I would really like to know is there any page/ company that is keeping up to date this issue?
Thank You.

You can always check the AIAG website for the latest editions of their publications. Also, Tech Street provides a free standards-tracking service which I have not personally used, but you might want to check it out.
