Unhappy Who has Oversight of the RABQSA?

Who has oversight for RABQSA? I wish to file a complaint against them.

Background: I submitted my AIEA upgrade request on May 15th, 2011. I have yet to get results. I called and emailed repeatedly those first few months to make sure I had submitted everything I needed (according to the web site requirements I had). Victor then left and my package went to Australia. It was then I found I was missing a form. I submitted it in August. After more email's that went unanswered until the last a month ago, I find I need to submit my ATT results which I did. Now again - I am getting no responses to my emails to Australia. This has been over 5 months since I submitted my upgrade request. This is to the point of being laughable it is so ludicrous. I have no idea if has even been submitted to the RMC. The emails I have received state that it will be sent the next day only to find a month later that I am missing something and it wasn't submitted.

My colleague submitted his 3 weeks ago and received a response that the RMC needed more information about where we work (which is a major airframe supplier). At least he knows that his was reviewed.

I just don't know what else I can do...

Re: Oversight of RABQSA?

Try IRCA. www.irca.org

Since the merger of RAB & QSA a couple of years ago the RABQSA has become increasingly worse in every aspect of the relationship I've had with them. From what I've heard the Milwaukee office isn't much more than a maildrop now and communication with it is next to worthless. Most likely I'm going to drop my credentialed status with them this next year mainly because anymore it seems to be of no value....I won't even go into how horrible the training side is, especially the COMPETENCY course competencies!

Re: Who has Oversight of the RABQSA?

For AS9100, it's the IAQG. It looks like you can file a complaint in the OASIS database. If you're already an AA you should already have a user ID and password. After you've logged in, click on the "Feedback For Certification & Accreditation Bodies (CB/AB)" link in the menu on the left side of the page. Click on the "Manage AB Feedback" tab, then click on the "Create New AB Feedback Ticket" button.

Did you try lodging a complaint with the RABQSA themselves?

The RABQSA is one of several Auditor Authentication Bodies (AAB's) in the IAQG ICOP program. The IAQG is gradually enhancing the the oversight over them as well as the ATP's (Approved Training Providers).

Re: Oversight of RABQSA?

Thank you for the information!

I have considered transferring to IRCA after this fiasco. After this has been resolved in some way that will probably be an attractive option.

I considered filing a formal complaint against RABQSA through their site. However, after so many emails and phone calls to different people in Milwaukee and Australia with no resolution, I don’t have any confidence that this will be resolved through their complaint process. I also worry about reprisals, and my application taking even longer. Though I don’t know how they can even make excuses for this taking any longer.

Should I file a complaint with RABQSA directly prior to filing with IAQG? Or should I just not even bother with RABQSA?

You might get more personal benefit by holding your breath and waiting until your fanny turns purple than you would contacting them

They don't seem to understand the concept of the customer/supplier relationship

Re: Who has Oversight of the RABQSA?

Friends,

What is the most current/reliable source for verifying 3rd party auditor credentials? I was looking at the RABQSA site to check on a suggested 3rd party auditor; I may have looked in the wrong location, or they're now called "Professionals" I believe.

In response to the OP: So much for the credibility of the Auditor accreditation/certification program....

Stijloor.
