Where can I find a source that explains the correlation between AQL (acceptable quality level - like 1.5) and IRR (initial reliability requirement - like 95%) in acceptance sampling? It seems I remember coming across a cross-reference chart at some point some years ago, but I can't remember where.

TMHO there is no correlation between AQL and reliability. QAL predicts the probability of a part to pass QC (conform to spec or DWG) and Reliability prdicts the probability of a system to function properly over a specified time period at specified conditions (Design).
"Design Reliability" is not what is being referred to. IRR is a special Boeing sampling plan for Boeing suppliers. The probability of acceptance is different from the 95% of the AQL sampling plans.
