Default Do you really want a job in Quality Assurance?

When you have a "I hate my job" day try this:

1. On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section.

2. You will need to purchase a rectal thermometer made by "Johnson and Johnson." Be very sure you get this brand.

3. When you get home, lock your doors, draw the drapes, and disconnect the phone, so you will not be disturbed during your therapy.

4. Change to very comfortable clothing, such as a tracksuit and lie down on your bed.

5. Open the package and remove the thermometer. Carefully place it on the bedside table so that it will not become chipped or broken.

6. Take out the material that comes with the thermometer and read it. You will notice that in small print there is a statement:
"Every rectal thermometer made by Johnson and Johnson is personally tested"

7. Now close your eyes and repeat out loud five times:
"I am so glad I do not work for quality control at the Johnson and Johnson Company."

Laughing Do you really want a job in Quality Assurance?

Hi Mick!
This is my first time in the forum as well as my first time in Quality Assurance! I fell into the job by accident when I applied as a operator at a Screw Machine shop. At first I thought it was pretty interesting! Later when I had to take over the entire department with little experience I started to think again, but... after doing lots of research to solve most of the issues I ran into with for example managing the ISO System and some of the plating and print issues I knew I was crazy for continuing but, I just take a breath and push harder! your comment was a great one!! So now I know it could be worse. I will remember that one.

Any one out there who is familiar with plating techniques please let me know, since I have one problem that my plating supplier cannot answer! Imagine that!!!

My suggestion here is to see where your question lines up in the Cove categories and start a new thread. You might not get a lot of responses here, but if you start a thread, assistance will probably come out of the woodwork! You might also want to give a bit more details so folks will have something to respond to.

I am glad that my message has stimulated some response.

However, I am a little embarressed to find that it isn't as original as I first thought. I later spotted the same story within another thread.

Never mind. Most of my friends will tell you that my jokes are never original.

Thumbs up

No worries Mick. Considering the number of stories in the humour thread it can't be easy to find something not already there...

Hey Connie, Welcome to the Cove
