Is that a sarcasm? 4 years?
Take a look at the date they posted that response, closer to 4 months than 4 years

Re: From the date of your audit, how long did it take to get the actual certificate?

Don't forget, the registrar is one of your suppliers. How would you treat a supplier that failed to deliver on time?
Accreditation bodies (RAB in th US) require registrars to define, in their registration process, the time frame to deliver the certificate.
The IATF have taken that one step further and defined a time period which if memory serves, is 6 weeks.
This foot dragging would certainly be of interest to accreditation bodies.

Re: From the date of your audit, how long did it take to get the actual certificate?

We went through our ISO 9001:2000 recert audit.
We had two non-conformances. I fixed them while they were there.
The audit ended on a Friday. They emailed my certification pdf on Monday.
The actual tube and poster got there that Friday.
One week total, that quick enough?

That is very good. We got our certificate for the "move audit" within three weeks. We are ISO 13485 registered company.
