POSTING GUIDELINES and 'How To' for Companies and Recruiters
Posting Job Openings - Poster must Register just as must anyone else who wants to post in the Elsmar Cove forums. Registration is free. I require Registration with email verification because I prefer to ensure posts are legitimate and not made by 'Bots' or other means. However, you may e-mail Marc or the forum moderator directly if you would like me of the forum moderator to post an opening for you.
- Please read this thread on suggested posting contents: HUMAN RESOURCES and RECRUITERS: Suggested job listing template.
- Please state whether you are a recruiter/job shop or are from HR and are hiring directly, or if you have just heard about an opening or a potential opening. If it's a *rumour*, make sure you state that it is a rumour.
- This forum is open for any company or anyone to post a job opening. if you know of a job opening, by all means let folks know.
- There is no charge. Posting a job opening is appreciated by everyone!
- Just 'Start a New Thread' in the Job Openings and Employment Opportunities forum (The forum this thread is in). Look for this button near the top of the page (while you are at the thread listing page of the forum) on the left:

Then, Copy the position requirements and / or other information from the document on your computer and Paste it into the post text box. NOTE: Please see #2 above with regard to content. The format is not required, but may help address aspects that people are interested in when they are reading about a job opening.
- Please - Think about the Thread Title before you press the 'Post' button. A good idea is to put in the Position and the Location.
- You might want to Preview your post before you press the 'Post' button.
- You may put an e-mail address in your post, but be aware that if you do it can be 'harvested' and used by scammers. I recommend you have E-Mail turned on. This is controlled by you in your User Control Panel -> Edit Your Options (aka User CP). About half way down you will see:
Receive Email
From time to time, the administrators may want to send you email notices.
If you do not want to receive these notices, disable this option.
|X| Receive Email from Administrators
You can allow other members to send you email messages.
|X| Receive Email from Other Members
Check both boxes and the forums will allow potential applicants to contact you through the forum software's Blind E-Mail form. You will get the e-mail address they enter but they will not have your e-mail address unless you choose to Reply to the e-mail you receive.
Again, I don't care what you put in a post, but do remember the content will be spidered by search engines. This is the same as is the case with all sites where the public at large, obviously the largest audience, can view listings.
NOTE: If you want your company web site in your post, you might want to put it in your 'Profile' (see Edit Your Options above).
- When the post is filled, it would be appreciated if the poster return and let people know in a post. The thread will be closed at that point. I can remove the entire thread if you e-mail Marc
- Please - NO fishing trips. REAL jobs, only.
- Jobs posted will be deleted between 30 and 60 days after being posted unless otherwise requested. After 30 days I assume the position is filled or otherwise not available.
- This is VERY important! This is a forum environment. People like to ask questions. If you do not feel comfortable coming back here to answer some basic questions people may have, please let me know and I will 'Close' the thread to Replies.

Re: Position Openings: Posting Rules
Here's hoping some real leads come in for our "job bereft" or "underemployed" Covers.

Anyone in local ASQ sectors or such - You might want to consider contacting the forum moderator or me about getting any 'listings' you have locally in here. You can do it yourself, but we'll be happy to help.
I would like to 'expand' this listing to help match those looking for jobs and those with position openings (job openings). I know this has not been a big part of the Elsmar Cove in the past, but I would really like to expand this aspect of the forums.
Suggestions also appreciated!

Post only your own listing - do not copy someone else's
Post only your own listing - do not copy someone else's. We offer a free listing with unlimited space. Do not copy some ad from another web site and post it here if you are not the recruiter.
Solution:
Feel free to write to the recruiter in an ad you think would be good for our Covers and invite the recruiter to visit and post his own FREE ad.
Generally speaking, ads that give REAL contact information generate much more response than "blind" ads. This means a recruiter should list his real name and company rather than an anonymous email address. In the same vein, both retained and "speculative" recruiters should consider disclosing the employer identity to a candidate once they have the candidate's identity to register with the employer to ensure "credit" for the candidate. This will allow the candidate to craft a presentation fitted to the employer and give a higher probability of success in attracting the attention of the employer, resulting in a higher "closing percentage" for the recruiter in earning a fee.
As the Moderator for this Forum, I am willing to help recruiters craft ads which will appeal to this specialized demographic of Quality-oriented people. Just click on my name and send me a Private Message or email.
